Polar Bear 0995
|
These magnificent creatures mesmerized us for
over a week as they went about their daily routines. Off the
Alaskan coast on an island, the bears would swim in to feed,
most of the time during late night hours. This particular day
we had a bear come in during the last minutes of daylight. What
appears to be a log pile is a pile of whale bones, the remains
of a carcass. What scraps were left were enough to bring in as
many as 13 Polar Bears and one Grizzly Bear. Photo captured by
D2Hs, 70-200VR on Lexar digital film.
