Phlox 0427
The Arctic Plains is an amazing place, anything
but lifeless and void of color. In the spring, just a heartbeat
before all the birds arrive to nest and the caribou are just
starting to make their way to their calving grounds, the wildflowers
just go nuts! I was so fortunate to be witness the explosion
of color and the magic it brings to the arctic. These Phlox (plants
names are not my forte) were just one of the many species of
flowers we photographed during our adventure. Photo captured
by D2X, 70-200VR, 500D on Lexar digital film.
